yes it can be put back on with a good clean
yeah stick it on and give it a good old trashing to get it hot and normal still work
If it hasn't rot from the inside out, yes, you could use it again
shove it on, warm it up and go for a hard drive, if it rattles excessively then you'll need a replacement. What's the worst that can happen?
