    Gaming PC

Im looking to buy a new pc cause the one I got atm is quite old I can't even play call of duty 2 on it :P. The pc will be used mainly for games and school work (using development tools like V Studio and Eclipse). Im not up to date on the latest technology especially gaming wise but Ive made up a list of parts I think would be suitable to run the latest games such as Crysis, COD4, Fallout3 etc.

    Components:

    CPU: Intel Core2Duo E8500 3.16GHz
Motherboard: Supports SLI (for future upgrade)
    Memory: 4GB 800MHz DDR2 (2 x 2GB)
    Graphics Card: XFX 1GB GTX280
    PSU: 650W

Maybe any gamers on PSC can help point if I am going in the right direction to building a decent gaming pc.

doesn't seem too bad to be fair, bit more info on motherboard would probably help
only other thing i'd comment on is the PSU, when pushing it on games like crysis, especially if you plan to run SLI 650 might not be enough. i had a 580 watt PSU with 620 peak and when i checked that it was at its limit a lot on games and i didn't run SLI

The motherboard I currently got my eyes on is this:

    Asus P5N-T Deluxe S775 NF780i ( http://www.scanmalta.com/item.php?We...Code=MB-L21112)

And regarding the PSU should I go for a 850W PSU to handle SLI as well?

I'm not a big fan of consoles especially when it comes to FPS and RPG I prefer using a keyboard and mouse.
