Sorry this thread has confused me. When the OP said new upgrade I thought he meant there was a newer version than 2.2.1. I've had that since I got the phone in Feb so it's not really that new

its the v3 software with things like mms, video and cut/copy/paste etc, it will be the big hoo-haa when the new iphone comes out

No, it's been released to developers at this stage.

Really? Open iTunes, what version is it saying when your phone is connected?
