Get a sporting
Hey!
Have had enough of my auto-buggery punto selecta. The car it self is a really good car but theres just no fun driving without the option to change gear when you want. especially with 0-60 of circa 17secs. The selecta has MOT til december. Its not immaculate by any means but it does only have 47k on the clock and on a M reg. Its an insurance group 5.
Basically its my 18th birthday soon and have had a word with family and they all want me to have something i remember for my 18th, so theyre going to put some towards my present. I want a manual car. With an Insurance Group of 5 or under which is more fun than mine. Am looking at the value of my car + 300ish.
Any ideas?

theyre insurance group 7 and with an insurance group of 5 its costs 1978 already so cant afford to get more expensive insurance. ive found that 206 GLX's 1600 is onyl same insurance as mine... but its purchase price of them.
its your 18th go full on out & get the ultimate punto. GT FTW
I would love a gt but the insurance would be crippling. if i wasn't self employed it would help. also would be sacrilidge using a gt for a works vehicle.
How come it cost you near on 2k to insure an auto 1.2?!
surely you can get better deals on insurance... try flux, im with admiral who were suprisingly cheap for me. i was paying 1400 fully comp on a mk2 sporting at 18 with no no-claims... think that was with direct line. ring around ALOT you may be suprised
Seeing as van insurance is cheaper i did have the idea of buying a punto van mk1 1700td and dropping a gt lump into it... then smoothing and making a gt van... The insurance is 545.45 for a punto van but doubt they will let me modify it
Self employment has that bigger difference? ouch. i hadn't realised. fair play for ringing around, its a pain but worth it.
try the van insurance with mods like alloys and suspension and see how badly that affects the premium perhaps?
smooth gt work van would be the nuts! as would a simple gt look-a-like diesel imo
what about a Toyota starlet sportif or whatever they are I know they are
1.3L and are very nippy not sure on insurance group though lol
