its the turbo fluttering, any turbo car can do that just disconnect the dump or recircvalve but its very bad for it as its the turbo stalling against the airpressure

nope its fine as long as u lower the compression and get the fueling right, run to lean and u will melt a hole in the piston

yep and maybe more when it gets remapped properly as its jsut on a basemap at the mo

yeah its a quicksilver shell but its a 1.1 engine as all this project was made on the cheap and bits bought off ebay and went from there the whole thing has only cost £980 to turbo

silicone has been fine so far, it made 147bhp base mapped on the dastek, I say base map only because the mapper did not go any further because he saw it leaning out, But thats all been sorted now and...

a friend off mine off another forum converted his 106 1.1 to a 1.1 turbo using a Charade GTTi turbocharger and modyfyying it to fit, its just made 147bhp on the rollers and is very very nippy...
