Cool pics mate, good day?

Quality!
Bit of soft focus going on, was the iso quite high? Cant imagine the light was too great!
-
Yeah some are soft, The iso was set at 100 for some and 200 for when the clouds came out.
I know a few reasons for soft focus: (my lack of experience being the greatest factor)
1) I didn't use any kind of tripod / monopod much
2) I experimented quite a bit with AiServo vs one shot focus, and also different ways of using the AiServo to it's max potential
3) All shots were taken as JPEG instead of RAW as I only remembered a 2gb card (Doh!)
4) this is only a few of the 700+ pics, I'm sure there are some sharper ones that I've not got to yet.
5) none of the pics have seen CS3 yet :p
Basically I havent realised the potential of the lens and body yet. I'm back at silverstone in august for the Renault World Series so I'll be taking a few hundred more there!

I was also drunk. First beer was circa 9am every day to top up from the previous nights antics :)

Nicely done, nothing like some early shandys while camping to keep banter and spirits topped up!
ISO is quite good then! Yeah you really want to be shooting in RAW, you cant make a soft picture really crisp though, i struggle with soft focus often too, a monopd etc wont help loads with it i dont think. Servo is great but can be all over the shop sometimes!

Maybe my body has seen better days. I'm not sure off the top of my head how many shutter activations it's had, but for the use it gets, I cant really justify getting a new one. Maybe I'll get it serviced.
I'm also going to buy some more books on photography, but specifically on sports and telephoto photography, as some of the other stuff I have read has been more general shooting.
