If it is out of contract, ring T-mobile (EE), and they should unlock it FOC.
Same with Vodafone.

Just tell them that you're going abroad and want to stick a foreign sim in it, that way they can't charge you.
jailbreaking it will unlock the phone.
No I've jail broke it already it doesn't unlock unfortunately :(
Really? It worked for me before, on a 3GS. Originally a O2 once jail broken I put a Vodafone sim in there.
