Audi S4, 2.7 V6 BiTurbo Quattro
-
Look at you, I really like that bet it goes well.. good find
-
Not a fan sorry. Never liked the styling of older Audis.

still he can fit a big buggy in the boot along with golf clubs.
-
The boot is huge, and it goes like stink for a big car. A lot of car for the money IMO. There were also only 2 S4's released in the UK in this colour, so pretty rare

Looks like a benders car.
Joking :-)
I like Newer audis in black.
I dont think that color does the car any justice personally.
-
Needs big deep dish wheels ;D
-
I like it mate if for the fact its got a stupid big engine it it with lots of scope for 400bhp without touching engine internals.
Id personly add 19" RS4 rims and brakes then tune the fooker.
Loads of car for mondeo/Volvo money ;)
-
-
Pictures don't do it justice tbf, but it is a 13 year old car.
-
Todd, that's a fantastic car. Anyone who hasn't tried 2.7 V6 biturbo engine doesn't know how fast and torque it is. And it even quite economical for what it is + a quattro. Always wanted one my, my boss has RS4 B5, I take it for a spin sometimes, it's just ****ing awesome. You know what you need here? RS6+ 19" rims. Will dip up a pic later of my bosses RS on RS6+ rims, it's pure porn. Car looks like it's 2 years old on them!
-
I bet 19's ruin the ride on it!
-
An unusual but quirky choice!
I wouldn't bother tuning it though, its nudging 100k, last thing you want is a 6cylinder engine rebuild to fork out for! Enjoy it for what it is and you'll soon be contempt with the power etc.
Always been a fan of the powerplant, this era Audi was never on my radar though but probably because they wern't as numerous as they are these days.

My bosses RS4 is on 320k kilometers, had just new turbos, had compression test on 300k, engine is in perfect condition, it doesn't drink oil at all, you can't kill this engine unless it's has been unmaintained. It's a really strong, strong engine.
Ride on 19's is a bit different, but with the proper tyre dimension it's all good.
-
Exactly any one who knows anything about engines would realise that 100k is barely run in when it comes to a car such as this, ignore the scaremongers Todd.
-
As said above, there are cars on audi-sport that are knocking on 170-180k miles still with the standard tein ko3 turbo's. A friends informs me that one of his mates has one with a pair of rs6 turbo's running 472bhp at 172k miles :D
-
Wayup, Vern has spoken!
Its got plenty in the bag because its barely 100hp per litre, but as soon as he fiddles with it he'll never put it back together again and sell it, historical fact
-
tbh i havent got much planned, mainly preventative maintanence. There's a few niggly things that I'm sorting. The money I'm getting for my coilovers will pay for my stage1 map that will put it up to approx 310/360. I also want to keep the standard exhaust system as I love how it can be civilised and lairy, mood dependant. But I'm gonna take it down to AMD Essex, who are VAG tuning specialists, and see if the can remove the cats and weld in a couple of high flow sports cats, just to free up the flow abit. Lower it a little and wheel refurb in dark grey and I'm done I think.

-

Funny fooker!
-
I want to keep it looking original ideally
-
Why an s 4
Not an rs4? What the difference.
-
Huge difference in running costs
-
Is it really thatuch Todd? Give us an idea??
-
I think you chose wrong. You should have an R8.
I still am itchy for one but it means I could drive in my garage but not get out. Porsches are good for garages.

Well I doubt old marriage impending boy has 60 odd k splashing about lol
B7 RS4 is more realistic in the years to come for him I reckon and definitely me.
-
I think one must try to balance ladies with horsepower addiction. At least 60:40.
Thus if you have a 100k apartment, you are allowed a 80k car :P
-
Are running costs that big a factor when you're whole life is spent pooing into buckets in a van on triple time?
-
It's mainly insurance factor tbh
-
How much did you pay of you don't mind me asking?
