invest in a pressure washer if you have one of those, thats awesome
i like to use a snow foam lance cake the car for about 10 minutes and then jet it off
then you need a good quality wash mit not a sponge as dirt and gime sticks to sponges.
2 buckets, 1 with a grit guard so when you rinse it all the grit goes to the bottom and not floating about which you could drag along your paint work.
Car shampoo wise everyone has there own favorites dodo juice born to be mild is pretty good stuff smells great too! and i really like autoglym car shampoo and conditioner works really well!
A good quality chamouis to autoglym again do a really good one.
tyre/wheel cleaner - i use autosmart g101 and autoglym wheel cleaner
metal polish - meguiars nxt gen polyish is awesome brings exhausts and alloys up to a great shine!
then clay bar and waxes of your choice.
so many different people tell me different things! haha!
wash
polish
wax
seal
?
wax is a sealant there are different types for instance i have a liquid sealant called g-3 (not the rubbing compound) and wax obviously a wax its just a form of protection for your paint work.
Wax isn't a sealant!
well i just bought most of "poorboys" stock! hope its worth it! £90 down now!
Hope you remembered some microfiber cloths!
cloths and pads! :)
yes microfibres are needed, technically speaking no wax isnt a sealant but if you think about it it prevents fallout bonding to the paintwork so technically it kinda is? if you get me.
Sealants like supergard and Zynol are readily avaliable but they dont come cheap!
Norro, how did you get on with your order fella? did everything turn up?
If you need any help or advice on application etc then post up in here, I'm sure one of us will be able to help you out :)
Remember to post some pics of your car before/during/after!!! :D
