No they don't, not over the top of the colour anyway
They're often mixed in with the main colour.

All cars have laquer its the base colour that drops with weathering, i had a red gt3 and that was ok but colour drop as drastic as sarahs no amount of buffing or polishing would bring it back up as theres not enough colour left to buff.
as far as i know only the mirrors and bumpers are lacquered on bright red fiats.
Ahhh right, cause ours is T'd in three places...
The garage we took it to obviously bodged putting the pipes all back together then, I cant seem to see under where it should be T'd to?! Maybe they didnt T there?
I'll have to take the top bits off to see underneath in the morning...
Could this be why it's not running greatly (other than ****ed shims)

Thanks for the dump help guys, I managed to do it all by myself, for a girl :) lol.
I kinda like the look of it in matt black, cant really see the problem as its was faded to f*ck in the first place and as you have said tis only temporary.
