Sad news James, as dan said......end of an era.
I really rate the seb chips as value for money, they made get an extra 30-40ho very easy and affordable.

They still will lol? It's still available.
Putting aside the legalities of copying chips, surely if these copies are just that, there's still a cheap method out there for tuning GTs. It's not like they are making something that's going to fall apart. EPROMs are EPROMs and if the software is copied ok then there shouldn't be a problem.

No but hardly anybody ever has have they? You missed the point...
I've not missed the point.
If SEBs are available they'll buy SEBs as they're trusted. When they are not available they'll buy the cheaper alternative.
People will find a way.

I bought a copy from ebay and I really noticed the difference. Got an original seb4 later
Sad news :(
I am sorry to hear this James.
I think most working GT's (there's about 12 left?!) have one of the original chips anyway - anyone with any sense would steer clear of a copy on ebay anyway I would presume, f**king around with ECU's is a minefield at the best of times, even when you know who you're buying off!!
No you did miss it. I never referred to eBay chips etc either.
I was pointing out that remaps have been available for years, expensive or not and you could say easily accessable too via Leighton in the last 2 or so. But its always going to be a limited market/option for most, unlike the Seb chip. If Seb chips are no longer available then FCP won't see a huge increase in customers with GTs whether fake Sebs are available or not.
As a side to that, it doesn't help the members that the cost of an FCP remap seems to be masked from the forum.
No I think you missed it. I was referring to comments saying its a bad day for GT tuning. It isn't as they'll just buy the cheap ones from eBay.
