Ahhh wedging the block :).. Good idea forgot about that get that done
my 1.6 forged engine has also 87mm bore
max boost was 2.2bar with it, on 1st mapping was 1.9-2bar and when a month later the wastegate's vacuumpipe melted out on the exhaust manifold, and was no boost control was the 2.2bar
my bottomend is 159A on both
Arda has -as i remember- 176A type
almost the same, but the cast can be different
Wössner recommends 159A type in the catalogue
Do much for not wanting it on here lol
the yellow PGT has once the same bore-wall-cracking failure with 1.4 engine on standard bore, after it was boosted to 1.8bar and the headgasket gone out durning mapping
So if it hasn't cracked from too much boost, or too much power then why is it broken again?
apparently they have weak bores.. :/ so thats why it needs wedging
How cam there not be sufficant block cooling tho.. U can only fill the block n header tank up to there max.. The water pump is fine.. :/.. The car will be mapped to 28psi once set up is complete
Why didn't you use thee x19 block? they aren't open.
Arda, the best choice is the 1.6 16v Bravo 182A4000 engine for base, with it's own head, it is an "closed deck" style bottomend, has a much better desinged, crossflow head, etc... engine mountigns are the same too etc, but needs different boost pipeing
...just loose the original 1.4 GT look with this in the bay
the 2nd best choice is the old X1/9 and mk1 Uno 1.5SXie engine, has also closed deck bottom end, but on the pulley side you need a custom engine mounting
3rd 159A3046 or 3048(?) bottomend, as my
