As above and need the number...is there any software kicking about that can recover deleted numbers???

Nothing in your call/txt history?
Itemised billing? Address book? Old phone?
Im sure your network provide keep records of who you have called/recieved and so on.
So can't you get them to send a list out too you and you can then just narrow it down to the one you have lost?
problem is i deleted the number in jan2008......i now need the number as i need to contact the person and obv cant.....i cant go through an itemised bill as i dont know the number and itl take hours to ring everyone of them.....ive just bought a sim reader..now i need a sim card recovery program to do it!
Got online billing?
1) Download it as a CSV file. (Excel format etc)
2) Sort the column which has the numbers
3) This should reduce the numbers you need to call
4) Dial the number, then see if a name comes up on the phone.
* If it does, move onto the next number
* If not, keep that number on another list
5) Go through the revised list of numbers, that should get you someway there without having to do each line again and again.
Unless you are calling every Tom, Dick & Harry you can get this info back within 60 mins, assuming you have online itemised billing.
