right i reloaded my xp the other day and was all working fine now when i start the comp it comes up saying windows/system32 is corrupt enter xp cd and push r for repair on the first screen so i put the xp cd in and nothing loads up what do i do
some one please help this is doin my head in
boot the computer from the xp setup disc,
at the stage where it ask what you wanna do.... press the r key to enter recovery console
it will as you to enter a admin password.... if you don't have one just press enter,
when you get to a comannd prompt type "chkdsk /r" (with out the " )

thats the prob the boot up disc wont boot up for me to get to that stage
Enter BIOS and make sure the 1st boot drive is set to your CD/DVD drive.
