Having had the previous Nokia 6230 and using the profiles function; i've recently upgraded to the Nokia 6230i and found that i cannot logically rename my profiles. Is this so ? It's a backward step if so in my opinion. I've searched the net and indeed consulted the manual, but both to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Ok, this is the route that i took, and certainly what worked on the 6230, but seemingly not with my 6230i.
i'ts a vodafone mobile, do we think it could be something to do with their software?
i have a 6230i on o2
mustbe the software
I've got the 6230i on T-mobile and can rename profiles
Certain providers take certain options away.
Take it to a nokia shop/Carphone warehouse and say the phone keeps crashing and ask them to upgrade the software under warrenty.
They should do it there and then. Just argue your case if they wont or want to take the phone away.
Should sort your prob.
In my past encounters if on contract they will do it there and then, if its PAYG they do put up a bit of a fight.
I once had a 3310, the days when they were new. I went the market got it unlocked took it to the nokia shop for a software upgrade, it locked it back to its previous status, i made up a story saying i bought it unlocked from another shop, so they just gave me a sim free version.
New phone and didnt loose any warrenty ..
