Who is up to date with this **** then?
Looking at GoPro cameras at the moment but it seems like a minefield in terms of names, types, spec, prices and where to buy?
Can someone highlight the pros and cons of some current models maybe some rough prices?
Main use will likely be MTB but maybe use in or on the car.

I agree with Lance.
The top spec GoPro Black is £360 and you get fook all with it- a screen is £80 on top, and then you gotta look at which harness/mounts you want.
The Drift HD Ghost comes with a built in screen @ £250, and bundles you get with it are pretty immense. http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/brands/drift
Sound on the Drift is better than GoPro (when GoPro is in its case, which is 95% of the time!).
Drift is better at dispersing snow etc from the lens, and more aerodynamic

Without a doubt kas! Parts are replaceable like lense an extras are cheaper too, also a British based company, iv got the app on my iPhone an have it live streaming an can control it from there too, but does also come with a remote that lights up why your doing too (recording, frames etc.) which both are handy in incase camera is on the outside of your car or on a helmet an not sure wether it's recording etc
