fairly straight forward mate, not difficult compared to a lot of cars out there. Took me about 90 minutes in a garage to do mine.
Is it a big job or piece of p1ss to change the belt on these engines. My old mans asked me to change the belt on his but don't wanna do it if they're a ball ache lol.

the engine mount is a bitch to get out, rest of its straight forward

Jack the engine up high enough and the mount (on the golf) comes out easily with a bit of a wiggle. No idea on the Skoda though but its a piess of piss on a Golf
