About 6400 standard, 7200 for seb rings a bell, but don't hold me to that I'm most likely well out.

First thing, don't just rev the engine while at stand still.

Second thing, go on what the lads are telling you, check the FAQs and Stickied threads in the Mk1 Turbocharged section, loads of basic tuning info in there for new owners like yourself.

Third thing, don't be a turnip and look after it, if you abuse it it'll just crap all over you and suck up all your cash!

If you don't have the supporting mods it's unlikely you would have the seb chip and higher rev range, the gt is a fun little car anyway as others said no need to redline it to get the most out of it best performance is before the rev limit.

Seb2 setup as said by others on page 1 is a good start and fairly cheap to do.

Drive it on the road to the redline where air is going through the intercooler, air is going through the radiator and the filter is recieving a rush of air.

At standstill the turbo won't boost up either, and there is no load on the engine so its not definitive.

The raised rev limit is for the drag strip to save gear changes, but the powers gone by 6000rpm so you may as well change up well before 7 to stay on that power band.

I dont drive around redlining the car, it was only a one off test...(someone suggested doing it whilst parked)
