I would like a group buy on a decent but reasopnably priced mobile detailer who would be willing to travel to london.
The guys who do it down here are extortionate with their pricing.
FAO: car care enthusiasts.
I'm gonna have a chat with my contact over at Shinearama for you guys. Just wondering if you could come up with a list of things you'd possibly want a group buy on (if anything) and let me see if I can wangle something out of them for you!
www.shinearama.co.uk for some ideas of what they stock and supply.
Stick a list up in this thread, I'll monitor how it goes, and then approach them on your behalf in a week or so.
It could be a particular wax, maybe a machine, a kit bag, some mitts or anything - let me know, and I'll put the most popular suggestion forward.
Matt.
If you have any car care related questions, ask me in the Cleaning/Detailing section.

Matt, maybe you could look at a small bundle/starter kit.
A shampoo, quick detailer, a mitt and maybe some of those awsome blue clothes they do?
I'm working with the guys on producing a reasonably priced 'aftercare' kit for my customers actually Dan, I was only speaking with them about that a few weeks ago, so maybe like you say I could comprise a starter kit for you all which would have similar products in anyway??! Good suggestion
Barry, unfortunately for you the hive of detailing activity appears to be London and the surrounding area.

It would be nice to have some
carbnuba wax,
great window spray one that doesn't smear or streak when the sun or night light hits it,
some magic micro cloths
and a really neat wash mitt
also a fast drying leather
tyre shine that doesn't flick up the wheel and body
stainless steel cleaner

Good suggestions Ben.
I would say an epic microfibre towel instead of a leather, microfibre towels are the future!
Wow I clicked on their website and left straight away... Its bloody awful. I could be interested in some sort of starter kit though
I wouldn't mind a kit with something like a chamois, sponge, soap and bucket type of thing,
and then maybe a intermediate kit which would include the above, as well as some wax and protection?
