hi,any one know how to adjust a cabriolet roof. i have a mk 1 cabriolet with an electric roof, as the roof closes it is just short of the pins locating in the holes,about 8-10mm too far away, how can i adjust it so it locates and closes properly, all advice welcome, thanks,john

hi, have tried it with both windows down and it still comes up short, it feels as though it has shrunk !! which i know isnt possible, but even with two people in the car it takes a lot of pulling to close it,
there are some straps on the inside of the roof on either side of the rear window. By adjusting these you might get a centimetre. My roof falls short in the cold and i sometimes have to turn the heaters on to get it to stretch at little, before it closes.
The metal plates on the front screen where the roof clamps onto are slightly adjustable too.
I hate it when the roof plays up. Hope you get sorted.
hi thanks i adjusted the straps and it now closes much better, still could do with a little more but at least it shuts,many thanks.
