this was a superchip and bleed valve fitted by VanAaken developments in 1998 and then set up by Brian on the RR at Aldon Automotive. it felt strong and despite the odd differential between whp and fly approx. 35 brake here plays my 11 brake that was good back in the day apparently! no other mods.

did they give a torque figure?
11hp isnt enough, and is wrong basically. Whether the fly HP should be higher or the WHP less i dont know. Your looking in the region of 12% so even Alan's transmission loss is a little high at ~17%. Change the gearbox oil or even a fresh box and the WHP would be even better, i bet that box is tired after 160,000 miles!!

For example, the Evo has a ~22-24% transmission loss through a gearbox, transfer box, 3 differentials, 4 driveshafts and a prop shaft. A fresh GT gearbox should lose you no more then 10% ideally!

Excellent result though, id be chuffed with that!

Edit: I quoted you Stuart as the Xploit once had work done by Van Aaken, it had had a sticker on rear quarter for a long time as the sun had faded the paint around it so you could just make it out lol.

Peak torque 180 Ft. Lbs. @ ~4000RPM with 150+ between 3500-6000RPM, first chart. V. nice set of results.

And there was me thinking it wasnt running right.

Main reason I went to the rr was to check the afr and that it wasnt leaning out. Im sure I can hear it detonating when coming onto boost, the guy at the rr said the fuelling looked good. He said maybe the boost is peaking too high? or he suggested I changed the plugs.
