Where's the SEB1 option... Tee-hee, I've had my GT for over 11 years now and I prefer the "sleeper" and "value-for-money" approaches. Call me an "old man" if you will, but mine's transformed by a Dawes Device, an induction kit, a Mongoose exhaust and a SEB1 (which I swapped my SEB2 for when installing the Mongoose). I can see no reason for more power or possible legal ramifications of de-catting when it's totally tractable at low rev.s boosts like a loony and is quite torque-steery enough already. I have the parts for an FMIC and bigger 4-pot front brakes, Eibach ARBs, a Spax RSX kit on the way, hopefully, which are all more safety and handling related than out-and-out performance mod.s, but they're none of them unacceptably high cost items, it's always the cost of having them fitted that bites one in the @rse, so I've invested big-time in tools and other lifting/supporting stuff to do it myself from now on. Anyway, that's my 20p's worth.

I cant see myself doing SEB4 ever again, I made it through the 200BHP barrier on my GT1 but at a huge cost, I admit the thing was an absolute animal in a straight line and the only reason i did it was because i had a brand new cylinder head and completely rebuilt bottom end with bigger pistons it seemed a shame to waste all the hard work

You have to take into consideration costs and reliability:-

    Turbo £600 - £950
    Chip £135
    Pump £100
    FMIC £75
    FSE £100
    Injectors £125 +

Just that alone is nigh on 1500 boys plus all your hoses and sundries.

    Or SEB 2

    Chip
    EBC
    Exhaust

    Job done

Also to prove you dont need to spend uber money on the magical 200bhp for a gt heres my list.

    T25 stage 2- £695 (turbo technics)
seb 4 chip - £132.50 (xmas group buy deal)
Uprated Fuel Pump - £0 (traded for my dtm mirrors, brand new pump though)
    270cc injectors - £160 (bought off hans)
    FSE valve - £55 (ebay)
    Labour - £0 (mates rates/self installing)

So in total to go from seb2 to seb4 running a safe 200bhp (15psi) it has cost me just over £1000 plus vat so around £1200 all in. I think that is very cheap to get such power and still be running realiable. Im sure you could even do it for a bit less with the use of ebay or group buys. The parts above included are ALL brand new and not second hand so the price could drop even further!
