I am sure it can be done. Son number one has seen his once-pride-and-joy old car in a scrapyard and is gutted it has ended up in the state it is in. It is fixable (he reckons).
Is it just a case of making the bloke an offer and taking it away? Will it need an SVA and a new registration (as a Cat xxx?)?
Any advice will be much appreciated as it was a cracking little car in its time, and has just been totally abused since he sold it!

thanks for the info - turns out there have been cars put on top of it and he thinks the structure of the roof is damaged (the doors wont open now), so he is resigned to it being used as a donor car for all his mates - he has spread the word that it is there with some good bits still left on it.
