Never had a problem with the TV I bought off eBay - But I picked it up myself.
It's quite possible both your tellys have been damaged in transit.
Delivery drivers don't seem to give much of a stuff out the packages they're carrying.
bought a tv off ebay, Samsung SM933HD. first one i got sent worked for about 5mins then the screen would go black. ahhh. sent it back and got the replacement today. however. this one dosnt work either! when you turn it on the screen goes completly white and nothing happens. no stactic, no sound, nothing. menue button dosnt do anything. so anoying. have contacked the seller again, just waiting for a reply. dont think its him messing about, as he has 100% feedback and has been helpfull with emails and stuff. its just really anoying! anyone else had similar problems with TVs?

My Samsung's headphone socket died after three days! I'm a lazy ****er though couldn't even be bothered sending it back.
yeah i did think it could be somthing with the delivary guys but ahh well. the seller is givng me a full refund and i will buy the TV off amazon, as its a whole lot easyer to deal with them really. and it would be new.
Probably damaged in transit, I know all my family that have had a Samsung product it's broken rather easily, i.e. mobile phone, drop it and it busts, my Nokia has been dropped, on concrete, you name it down the stairs, got beer/tea in it and allsorts and it still functions as good as the first day it came out the box! Unlucky for you.
Third time lucky mate!
sounds like they are selling "B stock" graded tv's. nothing wrong with it when it works, but it might take you 5 tv's before you get a good one.
yeah it was listed as a B+ graded item, meaning it was an exdisplay. however on the ebay page it said all items are in perfect working contition with minor consmetic damage. but ah well, getting a refund and going to get it new as its not that much more expensive
Cool - Glad you got it sorted.
And just to let you know, mine wasn't listed as B grade stock, but was listed as ex-display, with minor marks on it.
And when I got it, it was in great condition, and t-cut sorted the rest out
