A caddy would be the easiest thing to use, you can get them really cheap as its ide:

This caddy is only designed for 2.5" laptop hard drives,
but you can get the caddys for larger hdd's, standard desktop hdd's.
I dare say there are probly caddys that have convertors so fit both sizes (for Laptops and desktops)
