You arnt going to find an uncracked head Chris they genuinely are rocking horse ****.
If you knew anything you'd know the engine design is from the late 50s i think or early 60s.
The deisgn is old and Fiat were reknowned for poor casting and/or poor materials. Given the vast majority of GTs recieve abuse regardles wether they are 130hp or 330hp they will all get hot and crack.
soon as i get it sorted , im going to invest in an spare engine lol
Obviously its best to have non, but ive taken about a dozen cylinder heads off now and all have been cracked between the valves, and didnt cause an adverse problems to the engines running. Was always something else.
If the crack goes fromt he valve to the cylinder wall and to the water jacket then your up **** creek but only one heads been cracked anywhere but from one valve to another.
Had two tested and came back good for compression and vaccuum, and one hasnt, its hit and miss.
i got this quote from racing company that produce's Performance heads
so might do this.It usually cost £250.00 to get the heads checked welded and re checked. If you want to know more about this ring me on
