That is true but you'll no doubt get heftily penalised by your current insurer for cancelling. We also have to give priority to those due for renewal as well.

Its an admin fee of about £20, if were talking a few hundred difference id happily pay the £20.

There will be a valid reason why you didn't qualify for the scheme. Did they tell you?
