GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The FIAT RACING CHALLENGE is for competitors competing in cars prepared and raced in
compliance with these regulations. All cars should be standard in every way except where
these rules allow modification. The definition of a standard part is one that is originally
produced or supplied by Fiat UK, or a pattern part, identical in every way to the Fiat item,
produced by any other manufacturer. Also in addition any nut, bolt, washer, screw, stud
fastener may be replaced/upgraded with a non standard item.
All vehicles must comply to the MSA technical regulations contained within sections E & J of
the current Yearbook
ELIGIBLE CARS: The following up to 1302 cc models (original cubic capacity) Fiat 128
saloon, Fiat 128 coupe, Fiat 128 3P, Fiat Ritmo, Fiat Strada, Fiat 127 (2 and 3 door), Fiat Uno.
Punto Series 1, 2 & 3
The 127 1050 Sport and 1300GT models are viewed as separate models. Engines may be
interchanged between these models, but the engine, not the body shell, determines the
modifications allowed to the vehicle.
The following variants are prohibited:-
Turbocharged engines, Diesel engines, Methanol engines, Overhead valve engines,
Automatic gearboxes, Vans, Estates, Abarth.
