THink it looks spot on, thw wheels are brilliant but would look even better darker
Pretty sure 400 and 400 are the top of what you'll get out of a stock bottom end, my mates 8 MR is the same numbers wise with cams induction and exhaust work and mapped, goes like **** off a shovel and doesnt stop accelerating
Love it! The VIII are my fave after the V
Beautiful!! Damn you for having a car id love lol.
IIRC an MR, or rather the rods which are the weakest part of the engine, can handle around 450bhp but that is pushing your luck a bit.
400/400 is a nice safe figure to use without stressing things too much.
I'm tres tres jealous!
Hello All,
The Rods are the weakest point of the engine when pushing over 400bhp.
Some can take 420bhp other shoot through the engine bay @ 430bhp.
A risk i dont think is really worth it.
On another note the oem pistons can take 500+ if you have a 'rod job' approx £1000.00
Power Wise it now sits @ 420bhp - 409 Torque and very impressive power delivery.
Just awaiting a S204 ( Stage 2 turbo ) which is based upon an Evo IX turbo but tweeked so can handle 450bhp with great torque to match.
After this some nice oliver or cosworth rods and pistons, these were on order however the brakes i have now gone with cost a little more then my budget allowed.
8 Pot 356mm K-Sport Front
6 Pot 356mm K Sport Rear.
No point having over 350bhp if you cant use it to the full potential.
Any more info feel free to ask.
