Perfect.
One Honda I would own.
New engines not built as strong as the original K20a. Car built down to a price, then blinged up with cheap electronics.
My Uncle has one and he's 93. Says it all IMHO

1997 Fiat Punto GT Abarth - being restored
2014 Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake
How can you say it's not as strong?! It is still a K20a. It's the exact same engine, with the exception of fly-by-wire throttle and a slightly different map.Originally Posted by Old Boy
The fact your uncle has one bares no relevance really, IMO he was mis-sold, as the ride is still very firm by ordinary Civic standards. I suspect he probably has difficulty getting in and out of the Recaro's aswell. Typical salesmans trick, there'll be plenty of commission in a Type-R.
If you have any car care related questions, ask me in the Cleaning/Detailing section.
Too right they do! That's why I'm getting an NSX-R

ye its a shame how the new sports cars for example focus st/new rs, new civic, for example are built to appeal to the masses, not to power junkies, or people who are after something that is built for a good old fashioned caneing/hard driving. In my experience with dc2's/ek9's they are built for this not for a family drive, and they take it and start every time the next morning, after a thrashing!Originally Posted by Debo
