Previous Calibra owner, but now a proud Punto owner.

Hope you all welcome me like all other car forums, just want to say hi to everyone and obviously I'll hope I enjoy being a member of this site just as much as I do on clubcalibra.com.

Previously owned a 2L 16v Calibra, and am in the process of getting it a new home. But the other day for a bargain bought a Fiat Punto Sporting 16v in yellow, and just fancied joining the site here, obviously a downsize in the cars but way more economical, cheaper and fun to drive.

I bought the Punto 1.2 with 88k on the clock, a small dent on the bonnet, needs another rear bumper, and a good clean up she'll be looking great.
Shall be posting up some pictures for you. Just had some questions really, what type of LED's are behind the dash, are they t5? I think the punto I have is lowered, does it come like that standard being the sporting version. If so how do I find out what springs I have on. Also is there an Idle Control Valve on the punto as it idles a bit funny at traffic lights.

    Cheers in advance.

    Welcome to the club!

I cant help you witht the dash bulbs.

The sporting's do come around 15mm lower than lower spec models iirc. If they are after market springs then they are likely to be either yellow/red..and should say on the spring!

Also i dont think they have an ICV, are there any other symptoms?

Post up a thread in the 16v sub forum and you will probably get a better answer in there!

Have you got any pics of the car?

Piccies will be up tomorrow when I've started giving it a clean, but I got myself a bargain, it has a decent few speakers and amp, just need a stereo wired in now. And it's got professionally tinted windows. It is nippy and good on fuel, proud with my purchase.

Thanks for the welcome, I'll try look around for anything to do with strange idling.

Well we had a Red Top, but got rid of that one for the Ecotec, but with the Red Top they do feel faster and are louder.
