I seem to have placed this in the wrong section - Sorry.
Hi,
I'm interested in getting some 15" couple alloys for Punto what is the ideal tyre size?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Hi, got this off an alloy wheel site... may not be 100% correct, this was based on replacing a standard 14" GT alloy, but if you post your original tyre size i can do the maths and give you the correct size...
Fiat
Model Year PCD Offset Bore 15" 16"
Punto I 94 to 00 4x98 35 to 42 58.1 1954515 1954016

would I need a lower profile was my main concern?
Thanks
Steve
205/55/15 would give u a diameter of 607mm which is 48mm bigger than the original diameter on my GT wheel (185/55/14 = 559mm)
So IMO you should change the tyres as it will affect your Speedo and possibly rub
I think I’ve seen updates on the forum where people are running 205 widths without any rubbing,
If you want to change the tyres
205/45/15 would give a diameter of 565 +6mm on original size
195/45/15 would give a diameter of 556 -3mm on original size
All this info depends on your original tyre size being 185/55/14...
I'd wait for a few other opinions before u spend your hard earned cash as I could be wrong...
yeah my mates started calling me TomTom when it first came out, because I never get lost and have a natural sense of direction when driving... its either that or *ankerOriginally Posted by Mr Hans
