    My rebuild

So saturday me and dan started rebuilding my GT after waiting 6 months for the parts to arrive.

I havent bothered including the pics of taking the engine out as im sure you all know what that looks like.

Alot of brus were drunk, and alot of nails were broken It was freezing cold, and very windy, but we cracked on!

Inlet and pully off-Turbo just in shot

    Cambox off

Old head ready to come off

    Randomly placed studds

Some of which were only finger tight

Head off-What we are left with

Next gearbox came off, along with clutch and flywheel. Then hit the problem of the ring gear

Eventually it came off, and that along with the new flywheel had to be take to a garage to have the ring gear heated with an oxy acetylene torch, not knowing there was only 1 of these torches in the whole of Nottingham!, was abit or a treck trying to find a garage. Sorted it tho.

After abit of a bru break dan cracked on with putting the head on.

    Torqued down

Next we started the simple task of wrapping the manifold

    Eventually it was done

Then we fit the injectors to the inlet-

Next dan attached the new Elbow to the downpipe, with a little gently persuasion from his small person hammer

    New waterpump on

    Cam box back on

Old clutch had seen better days!

Then we did a mock build with manifold and inlet

Erm im hoping for around 230bhp if possible. But a nice safe 200hp on low boost would be nice.
