Photoshop help

Ok ive figured out how to border my photos, but how do i make it crisp? As its currently dissolving into the photo which isnt what i want.

I cant find any settings to adjust!

i have just reformatted and dont have photoshop installed, but from what i remember

new layer
select all
edit > stroke
and play about in there...

I normally change the canvas size to 10 px smaller than it was, then expand it up (using the canvas size) with a black fill.

My mums told me she'll have it took away while im at work next week if i dont wash it, even though its not driveable at the minute lol. So its having a wash sunday if its not pissing it down.

Thanks to Dan too for the boarder tip, worked a treat and added it to my action bar thing
