this is puzzling me?
i bought my punto gt at a show room and the bloke tried scaring me off sayin its chipped and the insurance will kill me, BUT its got kn, d/v, apparently chipped but its 144bhp at the flywheel, shouldn't it be more if its chipped!

depends what kind of chip
the chip doesn't increase horsepower as such, it just makes it safer to run higher boost and sorts out the fuelling, and might move the rev limiter
find out what "chip" it has got in it, and everyone on here will recommend another one

144bhp at the fly is low, esp if its been chipped, have you seen reciepts for the work done?
I had that when my car was just about standard.
