My NEW Punto ..... It's A GT!!!!

Well after a little searching and checing a few out i've finally taken the plunge and bought a GT.

Its Yellow, 1996 P Reg thats Covered 121,000 but had a rebuild new turbo and radiator and a load of other parts. PLUS full leather interior!

Completely standard, even has original tape player, only mods are a K&N filter and lowered on Koni suspension.

The only downside is it has a boost leek somewhere but its an easy fix

Got the car for £1300

Yeh nice and quiet, the turbo badge is coming off along with, the badge below it and the motorsport sticker.

The body work is immaculate.

One question did Fiat do leather as an extra? Only the headrests have punto stamped in on the sides

i seem to remember leather as being an option when i bought the sporting, though you do lose the functionality of a split rear bench....may be wrong. not too sure that the "punto" stamps on the headrests are from the factory either, so they may be retrims. and i thought door cards had a dash of leather with the factory option too? still, looks really good!

best wishes with tracing and correcting the leak. has the sporting gone now?

oh, and as above, lose the daft badging / stickers, and the gt looks great.

The sporting is still here will be keepig both cars for a month or two, just to get some of the inital work i have planned carried out on it.

i have seen the leather on several other punto with the punto stamped in the side so i guess it is a factory job

The interest in this car was amazing, i rand tues morning, he said he'd listed it on monday night and the phone never stopped rining after i rang tuesday. He turned down offers of cash even before i had got there.

While we was there test driving it he had 3 or 4 calls about the car.

The leather and the cleanliness of the car sells it
