That's not a Vista problem, it's an AOL problem.

its done it whilst on a few other websites too

i've been on aol for ages, admittidly aol has always been a little temprimental, but not this bad
its got 100 times worse since i've had my new pc
1 thing this pc has, that my old one didnt is anti virus, spyware protection etc
i've got tesco IS and windows live one care, however neither seems to be fully opperational, and i cant work out why!
aol not fully compatible with vista?
try getting a different aol program. Might have to get a new version or even run an older version
i've been through all that with aol
they sent me a new modem and software, then i had to install something, so when windowsvista went to sleep,i didnt disconect me from the internet
unless you know something they dont, which is highly possible given that the aol support team have a single brain cell between them that they must be playing catch with all day long!
Aol ........ eek lol
Sorry i cant help, however Visa does go "program not responding" fairly often on mine
To be fair thou it does correct itself after the program is shut down etc
Vista runs fine on my machines. Would definately ditch AOL though.
may be that your comp is not high enough spec to take and handle vista well, i know they need huge CPU amounts (>2GHz i think, and over 512mb RAM if i remember correct?)

Have you got a router? If you wanted to stay with AOL get a router and connect your computer to that, then you dont need to run the AOL program to go on the internet. You can use Internet Explorer or Firefox etc.. The only problem is that you will have to access your AOL e-mails through a browser and not the AOL program... Well you can but you saw it crashes often...
Its the only way out of it really without going to a different ISP...
