    Fiat Service centres

Im completely stumped as to what my missfire/cutout in high revs is.

    changed plugs
    leads
    afm
    ecu

due to its nature it isnt a boost/vac leak (ive also been maticulous in checking all hosing)

ALso pretty damn sure it cant be the coil pack.... Starts fine everytime, oil pressure normal, everything normal, get to 6000rpm-ish give or take 1000revs and im gettin an horrific missfire, althouggh one diagnostics chap who couldnt figure it out said it was infact a cutout, but because the engine is span up so fast it keeps goign instantaniously(sp)

My intention is to take it to FIAT in mansfield and get them to plug it in to the PC and tell me what it is. think they will do it?

Ive never dealt with fiat like that and wouldnt trust them nor anyone to work on the car, i just want a daignosis?

They charge £70 an hour at my local Fiat.

Its unlikely a diagnostics machine will find anything more than a blink test would.

Bear in mind you know more about the engine than Fiat do.

Doesnt have to be Fiat, any garage with a Sun diagnostic machine can read your ECU.

Its been for diagnostics and the guy said he couldnt pin point it but it was probably the ECU, changed one over but the same....

Ive done a blink test and no one knows what the code is!

Also had a new lambda, although old one appears to be fine.

My AFM also ran fine on Steves car....

Unfortunately mate ive not got the money to get around to doing the tester for this yet.

Im sure fiat charge #40 for plugging it to the machine.

try the fuel filter, alot of people have not been able to get above 3000rpm because the engine cant get any more petrol to burn, if it was the plugs it would tend to missfire at all levels of rpm
