    Ripping CD's

    What prog. do people use?
    Im currently using i tunes, but its like 15mins to rip a cd of say 12 songs, madness.
    Can anyone recommend a faster way please?

    i just drag the files over to the "D" drive or whatever your CD drive is named, then click on file and you get a choice to "write these files to disc"

    i use sonic record now, i can make an MP3 CD wiv 140 sonds in about 5minutes.

    i use windows media player, takes ages.

    must be your cd re writer .. what speed does it go at? x4, x8, x16 etc?

    I cant believe it takes so long, im making a playlist to then put about 300 songs on disc.
    I tried Nero, that took an age, and like Beau said, Media player takes an age too.

    when importing a cd with i tunes, close all other progs this will help speed it up, in the display bar of i tues it will tell you what speed its writing at.

    I use itunes Cat

    If you go to Edit -----> Preferences you can change certain aspects of the ripping process, speeding it up and so on
