I got quotes for the GTI and it was cheaper than the HGT to insure... maybe more expensive to repair if its bumped. not sure!

    parts

The only problem with owning a fiat is parts are not as easy as they used to be to get hold of, unless you can get them used. We recently waited two months for a £10 sensor to arrive from italy. it was an almost engine out job to get one from a scrappers so beware parts.

dont get a 106 gti or a saxo vts. they are made out of tin foil!!! bits fall off and that 16v lump after 60000ish miles runs so lumpy and wont idle normal. i would go for the civic out of your list. but i would rather have a punto turbo over any of them, cheap to run and big power to be had

Gotta be the civic out of them surely?

So much stuff availible for them, reliable, loads of different conversions availible...

GTI would be 2nd choice, but imo the civic wins by far.
