    My Progress so far...

    just some snaps along the way...

    The deck


    How it was when it came off


    Re-lapping the valves.... pain in the ass


    Difference in valves shows what an Arthur-Job the last 're-build' was...


    Cleaned my tailpipes up with some Hob-Bright


    Half-clean


    Clean + gasket-crap removed


    Abit of painting


    Ready for paint


    curing in the sun (ignore recker cover ive painted another one)


    Dont knock the table!!!

    some black engine enamal i found in a car bits shop and was a fiver. specifically for cylinder heads and cam carriers

    looking great! However doesnt black attract and store heat? I wouldnt want my engine to do that. Just an idea.

    hmmm ive only got the actual valves for me....not the seats and springs. however, its only the valve stems that are a prob for me....i hope

    you nick the table from a cafe? seem to see alot of them at cafes only bad thing bout them tables they get very hot in the sun

    Todays Progress

    I was up at 7am, and at teh motor factors pickign up new valve seals again at half 8! in the end out of the 16 new valve seals ive bought, i have one left! 8 on and 7 i ****ed up puttin em on....


    The first valve goes back on....


    All aboard


    Inside Pot2, not bad for 74k.


    Cleaned up Deck


    now dressed in a new head gasket


    Tourqed down and valve-springs oiled


    Hats


    Oiled also


    Look what my muscles did!!!


    So close and the last bolt snaps! utter tw@ting bolt GRRRR


    Bugger!



    I am miffed at the fact it still isnt back together, that bolt aint a problem just another setback!
