Not true in all honesty because ive had a saxo VTR in my sporting round the Leighton Buzzard Rd which if anyone on here knows of it has some of the best bends around the area. He was abusing it because it was kicking out smoke and he couldnt pull away from me.
with the right suspension setup, a good driver and a couple of strut braces the punto handles very well.
everyone is so quick to jump on the puntos handle like **** bandwagon.
my gt2 had full koni adjustable setup, handled ok, went out in a 106 rallye and it was a different story, stuck to the road like glue
Most people you find round here try it off the lights. Hence why I like a car with some decent acceleration!
round here its the other way round as we have a lot of bad roads with bad bends on the penines and round the villages, yep its good to have a car thats fast off the light but also good to have one thats fast and with good handling to go with it aswell

A saxo with the same mods will rinse it.
at the end of the day you wanna try owning both, i had a 205 before which is the same setup as the 106/saxo and it handled alot better than the punto...
my sporting sticks to the road like **** its got great handling never lost the back end and i do push it hard,it is lowerd 60 tho an g-max,my gt is like a boat got to sort it
