Possibly selling my 306 D Turbo

Right, as its not getting any use at the minute (I'm currently using an Astra estate for business use, boots not big enough on the 306) I'm thinking of selling my 306.

    Its a 1997 R plate 3dr D Turbo.
    110k
    Diablo Red
    Electric windows/Sunroof
    Remote central locking
    Fully stamped service book
1 maybe 2 previous owners (need to double check)
    MOT til August
Tax til May (I think, its too cold to go out and check right now)

Generally in good condition apart from this in the rear 1/4. I've been quoted £160 to repair.

And this on the rear bumper (both cause by a towing accident)

Sorry for the poor quality pic on this one, was taken on my phone

Its had a stage 1 tune and runs like a dream. (Approx 110BHP, and 45+ MPG)

I don't have any decent pics at the minute, but it looks just like any other diablo red 306. Oh yeah its on 205 1.9 GTI alloys too, and the mirrors and door handles are colour coded.

The reason I haven't posted this in the for sale section is that i'm not 100% sure thats its up for sale yet! I'm not really sure on price either. Obviously I know the small amount of damage devalues it a little.

If anyones interested please post or PM.

    Thanks

    Chris

Might have someone interested but they'll be looking at less than a k tbh, especially in light of the tuning (does devalue it on the open market beyond doubt) and the £200 odd to repair the bodywork.

    Let me know.

dealer trade is: £1225 but thats in good conditon (miles have been adjusted to 110k)

    dealer retail is: £2300

i'd put it up for £1500 ONO

But then glasses doesn't account for the fact that there is £200 worth of bodywork that isn't just the odd scratch here and there. It also doesn't account for the fact the car has been chipped. I can't imagine a dealer would pay anything like £1200 trade either.

Try selling a chipped 306 turbo diesel for £1500 ono on Autotrader with 110k miles and the bodywork issues - I dare say you'll be lucky to scrape a k.

Have a look and see what Glasses reckons a GT with 60k miles on the clock would fetch - nothing like the going market I dare say.

... and that isn't me just saying it because a friend may be interested, it's what I genuinely think.

glasses does account for bodywork damage in the front of it under condition

yes, hence when i said £1500!

and yes a trader would pay £1200 for one in that condition as i noticed a similar one go in the auctions last night. they are easy to sell

A dealer would pay £1200 for a chipped and damaged 306 turbo diesel?

In which case it's out of my friend's price range then. All the 306 turbo diesels on autotrader that I've been looking at are between £500 - £1000 dependent on condition, age and mileage. The last one I looked at was £900 with 90k miles on the clock and full service history.

    hasn't been chipped jim you can't chip a pre 98 306

it has had fuelling and boost compensator adjustments. this is nothing unusual as mot testing requires it.

the car is worth less than a grand especially on those ropey 205 rims
