if you can afford to run a car insurance/tax/maintenance etc you can afford £15.00.

No one is forceing you to join and £15.00 is a fair price considering the discounts you get E.G. you pay £15.00 and then you get £50.00 reduction on your insurance premium etc.

your luck the www.Lancerregister.com (evo's) have tighter rules for non members and is £35.00 to join

£15 straight out is alot to me, if we could pay £1 here and there thats fine, but no it has GOT to be £15 straight away, and then £10 each year, yes this may be a club, but it seems alot more like just a forum to me.
