    Air Filter Size

Just received a Pipercross airfilter which is supposed to be for the Punto Sporting 1.2 16V, however it's too small.

I've checked on several websites and they all state the same product code (PP1315).

The filter I have been sent is 25cm by 10cm whereas my original is 38cm by 14cm. Checking by size it looks like the smaller is actually for a 1.1 or 1.2 8v. The correct size I need is listed as a GT (PP1317).

Now I know I don't have a GT (shame) but can someone confirm the filter sizes for me, before I have a rant at the supplier and Pipercross for providing duff information.

    Cheers

The panel filter listings in halfords says the sporting and GT use the same filter.

From what I can remember a 38 x 14cm filter seems about the right size to fit a GT airbox, I reckon piperx have ballsed up!

Got to send the filter back and get a new one. Yep Piper have given everyone the wrong information.

Sporting is the same as the GT 377mm x 140mm for future reference.

That's useful info. The 1.2 uses the same filter as a GT? That must mean that both Sporting models share the same filters as all the gt's.

    yup that is correct,

i had the same problem a while ago when i ordered a filter for my sporting.

both sportings, and all the GT's use the PP1317 filter.
