hmmmm not bad, not bad at all.

personally i'd stick to the 16VT engine.

they are the same cc engines, just one has an extra cylinder

with all the problems associated with the 20VT lump (cracking manifolds etc) i'd go for the 16VT.

saying that, i wouldn't do either becasue i'm **** with a set of toolkits and wouldn't know where to start, but i can talk a good game

    aye you can.

the 16VT seems to sit better in the bay. no cutting of the chassis required. best bet IMO

the cracking manifolds if you do a search on the net and find a picture fiat re designed it when they realised but didn't inform anyone.

I was talking to a guy with 20vt who bought new all round discs pads track rod ends the works.

he did his research found it all out and sent a letter to fiat. and they replaced it FOC for him

    well done

also that punto i know one of the lads who worked for cosvaux before it went into liqudation, and he said most of subframe was cut away to get it in :s seems like a tight sqeeze.

The new design is better, but it still cracks. just in a different place that is less noisey when it happens.
