should be able to use the same key, but will have to re register windows.
When you go to re-install XP is there a number to call to release the key to use again?
If you know what I mean?

That is what I mean. How do I go about that?Originally Posted by Zeus
enter the key, and install.
once windows loads you will be prompted to register. you can do this over an internet connection or it will/should give you a number to phone.
I expect I will have to ring them as I have used the key already. So they can release it for it to register again?Originally Posted by Zeus
you can just use it again.
You can re use the key as many times as you like when installing, and when you need to activate it over the net you can use it as many times as you like.
You can change up to 5 components in you computer and use the same code, after you have upgraded your computer 5 times you will need to ring them, and then you will either need a new code or just to prove to them it's the same PC.
I was told this by a friend who works in a computer shop, never tried it, but I have formatted my computer numerous times and it still works.
never had to register mine before
earlier versions of xp you didn't have to.
Search Google for XP activation cracks.
