when you say phase 2 you on about the engine as ive raced a vtr with the newer front end and beat it... :-?
mine you ive sat behind a few std gt3's they hardly pull away ... but the gt1&2 is a different story

my mrs has a phase 2 vtr and it does seem a fair bit quicker than miy sporting.
My driveway has a vtr and sporting on it! me and my bruv's car! He beats me flat out everytime! <sob sob sob> But he looks like a chav and i dont! LOL
now hold on a minute there sunny.....................................
yes i have as i was going to buy one before the GT of mine but thought i would drive both of them and opted for the GT
as i ripps the sporting
