Ive beat a CTR 0-60 recently, although it was in a line.
just reading a post on batty boys which read...
"Blowing out a Civic Typewriter is no big deal. They're not a fast car, I can blow them out in my Mazda MX-5 and without a lot of effort. That said they're usually driven by tossers who used to have a Saxo, so you'd expect nothing less."
has clive the owner of said mx-5 had enough performance mods to do this or is it as i suspect more of the batty bullshit?

No standard MX5 (1.8is is the fastest UK production Model I think) will get near a CTR, on road, on track (Proven), drag race... nothing.
You can supercharge the MX5 but you end up with less than 200bhp, IIRC it's something like 180bhp. Even then it's not going to be cut and dried... plus the same mod on a CTR see's the MX5 blown back to the hairdressers.
gotta agree with this bloke, he sounds like he knows what he is talking aboutThat said they're usually driven by tossers who used to have a Saxo, so you'd expect nothing less."
yeah thought as much
i've been reading that site for a few days now and although they all come across as having exceptional cars that all should aspire to most of em are pretty dull
plus comments like that dont raise them above the "barrys" they prey on rather it drops them to their level
I remember reading a post that refered to 'clive' and a supercharger was mentioned.
