Both front wheel drive, both over £10,000 in all likelihood.
Looking at specs and having never driven either, and indeed looking at the interior I'd have the Leon hands down. Looks better, especially with anthracite wheels and red brembos and is rarer. So many ctr's about it's unreal now.

I'm with what Jimma just said, but I'm biased, I'm likely going to be getting a Leon Cupra at some point next year.
Expect to pay high prices for the Leon Cupra R though as they are very sought after!
Cupra R - £500 chip and you have 270bhp
Only trouble is you can only get them in 5 door.

Yea, the 5 door thing ruins the Leon IMO, but If you dont mind that, its one heck of a car!!!
personally perfer the look and handling and power of the civic. the leon is too smooth if you understand what i mean.
